Watkins Glen, NY
- Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist reach the top step of the podium with the #60 Acura ARX-06
- Nick Yelloly, Renger van der Zande, and Kaku Ohta finish in sixth with #93 Acura ARX-06
The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen saw Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian prevail, claiming their second-consecutive victory of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season after winning the Detroit Grand Prix earlier this month. This time, it was the #60 Acura ARX-06 of Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist that took home the top prize.
After starting from third on the grid for the six-hour race, Colin Braun got caught up in an incident early on in the running, dropping him back down the order to seventh. Inclement weather further added to the unpredictability, with bursts of rain creating slippery conditions—made even more difficult for Braun with a malfunctioning windscreen wiper. As the track gradually began to dry, the team opted to switch to slick tires earlier than some of their competitors—a strategy decision that ultimately proved to be fruitful.
Braun continued to make progress through the field, moving up to fourth place before handing over the Acura to Blomqvist at the halfway mark. The Brit went on to complete a sweeping overtake to propel himself into the top three, putting him in the perfect position in the last hour. In the final minutes, the two competitors ahead had to complete a final pit stop for a splash-and-go, promoting Blomqvist to first on the last lap as the team's fuel strategy paid dividends.
After previously rounding off the podium together in 2023, this year Braun and Blomqvist tasted victory and claimed Acura's seventh win at Watkins Glen International.
On the number #93 side of the garage, Renger van der Zande rolled off from pole position—the second in a row for the #93 squad. He steadily remained in the top three throughout his stint, handing over the ARX-06 to Kaku Ohta in a competitive position with four hours remaining. Ohta—a Honda Racing Corporation development driver—held strong in second place throughout his time behind the wheel.
Nick Yelloly took over for the final stint, returning on track in third before going on to pull off a daring overtake for second. However, in the final minutes he would be required to make a pit stop for more fuel and would wind up sixth at the line.
Acura's victory today gives Honda and Acura teams and drivers a sweep of the weekend—scoring pole position and victory in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, and NTT INDYCAR SERIES competition.

Quotes
Tom Blomqvist (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished first: "Great for everyone on MSR, HRC and Acura. The guys did a fantastic job committing to that strategy and putting the odds in our favor to win that race. Obviously, we were able to execute and I'm really happy with the job I did as well. Really stoked for everyone at Acura Meyer Shank and the #60 guys. We had really big fuel targets and that's what enabled me to get to the end and the others not. Really proud of the effort, it wasn't looking great for us and we had a few mistakes at the beginning, but we made the most of the day to be there at the end. This is a result that we deserve for Colin and our crew, everyone has been working super hard. The #93 won last time and now it was great for us to win as well. We're just getting better and better every race, so hopefully more to come."
Colin Braun (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished first: "What a great result. I'm super proud of everyone at Acura, HRC and Meyer Shank Racing. What a great day; I don't exactly know how we got to the end result, but wow, so proud of everyone. It all came together at the end and Tom did a great job, the MSR guys did a great job on the pit stops and the stand did an amazing job getting every ounce of energy we had available to work there at the end to be able to stay out. Awesome day and we're just so happy."
Kaku Ohta (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished sixth: "The car was fantastic and we had great pace throughout the entire race. We had a chance to win, or at least get a podium, but sometimes you just get unlucky. We unfortunately couldn't make it to the end and had to pit just before the finish, so we'll have to check some of the data. I'm really happy with my stint and my teammates did a great job. Big thanks to everyone at Honda, Acura and MSR for having me back this weekend. I'm extremely grateful for all the support everyone at HRC has given me, they have been instrumental in my development as a driver and gaining this experience with them is incredibly important and valuable for me."
Nick Yelloly (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished sixth: "P6 after the final two or three hours in the car. Unfortunately, we just didn't have the fuel to do the extra lap or so, so we were a bit disappointed about that. That's the type of racing we have where you have to push it right to the limit and we got it slightly wrong today. But on the other hand, with the alternate strategy with the #60 Acura, they managed to win the race. Back-to-back wins for Acura and a great result for the manufacturer championship. Overall, disappointing to be fighting for the lead and then dropping back to sixth, but that's motorsport and we'll get back at it at Road America in a few weeks' time."
Renger van der Zande (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished sixth: "What great speed we had in the car. Obviously, I'm very, very happy for the #60 car to win. We unfortunately were not the ones to win it. We were in the top two or three for most of the race, so it's a bit bittersweet of course. At the same time, we can be very proud of the group for having a second victory this year for Acura. Let's celebrate this win and learn from everything that happened today."
David Salters (President, Honda Racing Corporation USA): "Wow, a pole and a win, we've done it again! As always, it's down to superb teamwork and the brilliant men and women at HRC and Acura MSR. We have exceptional drivers and team members. We are six races into the season and we're starting to show what we're made of. It was a great weekend, but we must keep pushing. All I can say is that I have the utmost admiration for the men and women of HRC and MSR, shoutout to them. It's been a good couple of weeks. Thank you to everybody and let's keep at it."
