- Karl Wittmer, LP Montour secure second place with the #93 MMG Honda Civic Type R TCR
- Tyler Chambers, Chad Gilsinger claim third in #89 HART, earning second-consecutive top-five result
- KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering score their first top-five since partnering with Honda for the 2025 season
It was a strong showing for Honda-powered teams in the second round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, with all three entries finishing in the top 5 in the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120. Notably, this marked a return to the podium for the Montreal Motorsport Group, with a second-place result for LP Montour and Karl Wittmer, with the top three being further completed by HART's Tyler Chambers and Chad Gilsinger.
LP Montour qualified third the day prior in the #93 MMG Honda Civic Type R TCR, and faced a slew of battles in his stint, jostling for positions in the opening half of the race before passing over his Honda Civic to teammate Karl Wittmer. With various fuel strategy dynamics at play, the team were looking as though they would finish just shy of a podium result as the final laps approached. However, the #99 car began tumbling down the order as it ran out of fuel on the final lap, thus promoting Wittmer back into third as the checkered flag waved.
A post-race penalty was applied to the #33 entry, which originally finished first, after it was found to have a refueling time less than the permitted minimum, and was consequently moved to the back of the class. As a result, Montour and Wittmer were promoted to second.
It was another successful outing for the #89 HART Honda group. Tyler Chambers started from 8th on the grid in his machine, and began gaining places before Chad Gilsinger took over to finish the job. The duo also benefited from the ailing competitor car, going on to cross the finish line in fourth, showing their consistency after previously taking home a fifth-place finish in Daytona. Following the aforementioned post-race penalty, the group was moved up to third place.
The #5 KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Honda qualified 12th with William Tally behind the wheel. Tally and co-driver Tim Lewis continued to make significant progress through the field as the two-hour race unfolded. After facing a retirement in the opening round due to damage sustained from a competitor, they bounced back in strong fashion to earn a fourth-place finish in Sebring—their first top five since partnering with Honda for 2025.

Quotes
LP Montour (#93 MMG Honda Civic Type R TCR) Finished 2nd: "This is my first IMSA podium! I'm very excited to have been able to accomplish that with Montreal Motorsports Group and Karl with me. It was a pretty crazy race, but I was able to keep the car towards the front of the pack during my stint. It was a lot of fun, our Honda felt great, MMG gave me a super good car. The opening five laps were pretty intense, there were a lot of battles for positions, but this was an excellent result for us."
Karl Wittmer (#93 MMG Honda Civic Type R TCR) Finished 2nd: "Another podium at Sebring, pretty cool! It was a weird Sebring race, for the first time in a long time it went green for the entire race, it was really about fuel saving. I basically got two push laps after the pit stop and it was full fuel save until five minutes from the end of the race. Thankfully our Civic got great gas milage and it was really hooked up. Big kudos to everybody, MMG, JAS, HRC, it's a collective effort and I'm so pumped to be on the podium again here."
