- Sister #60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian machine lines up P6 in the hands of Tom Blomqvist
Nick Yelloly qualified the #93 Acura ARX-06 third in today's qualifying session on the streets of Detroit as he and teammate Renger van der Zande look to defend their 2025 victory around the 1.7-mile street circuit.
Yelloly and van der Zande won last year's Detroit Grand Prix from pole position, leading 30 laps en route to that victory in the 100-minute IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race. The duo have already won an IMSA super-sprint race this season, taking victory at the only other 100-minute event of the year—the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach back in April.
The sister #60 Acura ARX-06 will roll off sixth for tomorrow's race. Driver Tom Blomqvist's qualifying effort was cut short when a red flag came out in the session before he was able to go for fast lap. He and co-driver Colin Braun are looking for their first win of the year on a track where Acura has gone back-to-back.

Quotes
Nick Yelloly: (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) qualified third "We were P3 today and I think we maximized our position. Starting third here instead of second can be a benefit at the start, which is nice. Let's get our elbows out in the first couple of laps and see what we can do. It was a great turnaround from the team because we struggled a little bit in Practice 2. We made the right changes in order to get it right for qualifying. Well done to all the men and women at MSR and HRC. Looking forward to going racing tomorrow!"
Tom Blomqvist: (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) qualified sixth "I think it was kind of a poorly executed session from me. Obviously, with the red flag cutting the session short, I hadn't really been able to put a proper attack lap on the board yet. We struggled a bit with the balance and it was taking a bit longer to get the tires up to temperature, but ultimately, we didn't really get a proper chance to give it a full crack."
