Acura Meyer Shank Racing's #93 duo of Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande scored a third-place finish today in the SportsCar Grand Prix at Road America.
The pair started from pole in the hands of Yelloly and survived a race strewn with cautions—22 of the 66 laps were run under yellow-flag conditions—to cross the line P3 after van der Zande took over.
This is the third podium for the #93 Acura ARX-06 in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition this year. Yelloly and van der Zande previously scored victory at the Detroit Grand Prix and finished third at the 12 Hours of Sebring with third driver Alex Palou in March.
The #93's effort includes an increased presence from Honda Racing USA on the pit box in 2025, as HRC US associates are strategizing and race engineering the GTP car for the first time.
The sister #60 team of Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun opted for a split strategy that had the potential to pay off given the number of yellows in the race. However, an incident in pit lane and subsequent penalty moved them to the back of the field. The pair were able to work their way up to seventh at the flag.
Acura sits just 45 points behind Porsche for the lead in the manufacturers' championship (2,492-2,447) with only two GTP rounds left.

Quotes
Nick Yelloly (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished third: “P3 for us, and at the end of the day it was a good haul of championship points. We’re closing the gap in the manufacturers’ championship to the leaders, which was always the aim from the get-go. Obviously, a bit disappointed not to win the race after having started on pole. But overall, a solid weekend, another podium for the #93 crew and something to build on leading up to Indianapolis.”
Renger van der Zande (#93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished third: “Road America is always exciting, but it's always a bit of a gamble with the strategy here. That’s how it turned out to be again today. I mean, I think the BMWs were dead last and they took a gamble and they won. Congrats to them. We did a good job, we had good pace in the #93 Acura and it was a good result for the points in the manufacturers’ championship, so I think it's a good day for us at HRC and Meyer Shank Racing.”
Tom Blomqvist (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished seventh: “It was a challenging race, just got unlucky there. Strategically, I wouldn't say we did a perfect job and then unfortunately we had a bit of an incident in the pits. It’s just such a tight, crowded pit lane and sometimes these things happen. With the penalty, it just put us on the back foot. We did what we could, but unfortunately there’s just not much you can do when you're back there.”
Colin Braun (#60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian Acura ARX-06) Finished seventh: "On the 60 side, a little bit of a tough day. Obviously, we kind of split strategies there at the start just to do something different. I think all the manufacturers did and it kind of put us in the back a little bit. Then we got a yellow at the wrong time, unfortunately. Coming in for the driver change, I turned into my pit box and a crew guy from BMW came out wide of the tire changer. He tried to miss me, I tried to miss him, but unfortunately, we collided and we got a drive through penalty. I hope he is okay. With the penalty, we were kind of boxed in for the rest of the race. Happy for the #93 guys to get another podium for Acura."
David Salters (President, Honda Racing Corporation USA): “All in all, it was a good weekend. Pole position and a podium is still a good outcome. As always, thanks to the hard work from everyone at MSR and HRC. We always have the intention of winning, and although we didn't quite achieve it this time, we can definitely hold our heads high. We've gained further ground in the manufacturer's championship, which is the ultimate goal. We'll take the fight to the Indy road course next.”
