Braun/Blomqvist and van der Zande/Yelloly will be racing No. 60 and 93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian ARX-06’s, while favorites Dixon and Palou will be racing No. 9 and 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda’s respectively.

HRC is gearing up for the 50th anniversary of its signature race, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, in hopes of getting its first win of the season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and winning a third consecutive race this season in the NTT INDYCAR Series.

Acura MSR team looking for first IMSA win at ACURA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH

The IMSA championship race marks the return of Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, who will be racing with Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian in the No. 60 Acura ARX-06. Since teaming up again, Blomqvist and Braun have been a force, finishing second at the season kickoff IMSA Rolex 24.

They will be joined by teammates Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly, hot after taking a third place at Sebring. The duo will be racing the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 for the first time in Long Beach. Both have proven to be a force at Long Beach, with van der Zande winning in both 2022 and 2024, and Yelloly placing second in 2023.

When we last did it in 2023, I think we were very, very excited and optimistic. And unfortunately, in turn one, to no fault of our teams, it sort of all went away. So, I think we feel like, in a way, we’ve got unfinished business, and we’re excited to get going, and try to grab a big win there.

IndyCar champs PALOU and DIXON aiming to repeat podiums in Long Beach

Coming off of masterful back-to-back wins at St. Petersburg and The Thermal Club, defending INDYCAR champ Alex Palou will be hoping to continue his winning streak behind the wheel of the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. Meanwhile teammate and 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach winner Scott Dixon is aiming to secure another podium in the No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.
