- The FL5 Type-R Engine now being offered as a Crate Engine
- Available for racing and off-highway applications
Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC-US) announces the continuation of its K20C1 Crate Engine Program for use in racing and off-highway applications.
For years, Honda racing enthusiasts and fans have watched as the turbocharged K20C1 engine served as a staple in the HRC-US lineup of racing vehicles; powering HRC-US’s Type R TCR race cars as well as various Formula cars and even a special variant of the engine powering the Integra Type S DE5 TCX.
In previous years, HRC-US’s K20C1 engine was made available to Honda Racing Line members, race teams, and others in the FK8 specification. Now, the current FL5 specification engine is an available, reliable, and affordable option for a variety of motorsport and swap applications.
Each Crate Engine will come with an engine long block, alternator, turbocharger, stock engine harness, and starter motor. This is an engine-only program.
These engines can be purchased through HRC-US with a minimum order quantity of 5 engines, with bulk pricing available at 10 and 20+ engines. Individual engines can be ordered through HRC-US’s official distributor, 4Piston Racing: 4pistonracing.com
